How to Get Wax Out of a Glass Candle Jar

4 ways to easily get out wax from the candle jar

1. Add hot water

This is the most practical way to clean up any residual wax in the cup without any hassle. Pour hot water into the cup, cover the candle and wait 20-30 minutes until the wax floats to the top. Finally, clean the cup with warm water.

2. Freezing

This is also the most time-saving method I use. Store the candle cups in the freezer overnight and easily spoon them out the next day.

3. Melting in an oven

Place the candle cup upside down in the pre-heated 200°F oven (Picture 4) for 15 minutes to allow the remaining wax to drip out, then rinse the cup with warm water at the end. This method is similar to the first method.

4. Softening with a hair dryer

A very troublesome method, suitable for wax that is not much left. Blow the candle with hot air until the candle begins to soften, and finally use a knife to gently scrape the softened wax out.
